About
Just another computational bio enthusiast living at 44.225° N, 76.495° W.
I write about science, classical music, literature and everything in between.
My deepest gratitude to the teaching team of PATH 425 (Fall 2025) at Queen's University for inspiring and encouraging me, and the class of PATH 425 for putting up with my dreary presentations.
I like to play JS Bach Partitas in a manner that might offend the delicate sensibilities of British music examiners. Prior to arriving at 43.680° N, 79.630° W by random chance like Leif Erikson in 1000 CE, I was a classical pianist and piano teacher. Unlike Leif Erikson, I settled in Vinland and never left. Currently working on William Bolcom's noisier jazz pieces.
The books that made an impression on me are many, but a few come to mind : Ubik by Philip K Dick, The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K Leguin, Story of your Life by Ted Chiang, and Noces by Camus.
Everything that I do, I dedicate to my father (1952-2010).
